New Year, New Resolutions

It's amazing to me how time flies. I am heading out today for my second 'Resolution Run' and can't believe that it has been a whole year since I started this whole running thing...

It's been a big year for me. I am really looking forward to the marathon in Phoenix with nervous anticipation. It will be an accomplishment, but setting the bar for 2009 is going to be interesting. I am not sure a second marathon will be in the cards for 2009, but likely an Olympic Distance Triathlon would be a better fit. A half Iron in 2010?

2008 has also been a big year for our family. Jon has successfully joined the Cascade Fire Department as a paid on call firefighter, which has been a dream of his as long as I have known him. Lo Lo Bean has migrated to the Kindergarten room at Pre-School and is learning to read and write sentences. Both of which I am frightened of, she's not my little baby girl anymore. And potentially the biggest life changing event was my dad's heart was fixed last month. Yup, big year indeed. We have a lot to thank God for in 2008 and I am looking forward to His help in 2009. That's all I've got to say about that.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I wonder if I've seen you before?

Well if you're doing tris AND are a blogger in the GR area, we should plan to meet up some day. I've only met or know of a few bloggers in this area who run or do tris and they are all men. Competitive men. One young woman I met last year recently moved to Austin, TX, so I feel like I'm alone again.
